Seamless, safe and great value for money!
This was my first trip to Egypt and I was a solo female traveler, so obviously I had many concerns about traveling alone to see all the sites. I went with Tours from Hurghada based on the recommendation from Trip Advisor and I’m so glad I did!
I chose the Best of Egypt tour from Marsa Alam, which was a 3 day/2 night tour to Luxor, Cairo, and Aswan.
The price was 475GBP and it included all travel costs (and boy did we travel) all service charges, lunch every day and entrance to the various attractions.

We started at 5 am, where my driver picked me up from my hotel and drove me to Luxor where I met my guide. Note: it is a private tour so you have a driver and a guide all to yourself.
My guide first took me to Karnak, then to a Papyrus workshop, then we took a boat across the Nile for lunch, then we visited the Valley of the Kings, an Alabaster workshop and finally Queen Hatshepsut’s temple before he dropped me off at a 5* hotel in Luxor.
The next day began at 4 am, where the hotel gave me a breakfast box and my driver picked me up to take me to the airport to Cairo. Once landing in Cairo my guide met me and we headed straight to the Pyramids (the key is to get there early so that you can purchase a ticket to go inside). I went inside the Great Pyramid and we visited the other two before heading up to the paramount for a 30min camel ride (extra cost and only if you want it). My guide was great, he was happy to take loads of pictures, including some tourist faves haha! We then went to the Sphinx for some pictures, then to an essence parlor and then to a bazaar for some shopping. I should mention that every shop and workshop the guides take you to our government certified, which means they will never push you to buy anything and they make this very clear when you arrive that there is no pressure. We finally visited the Colossi of Memnon before they took me back to the airport for my flight to Aswan.
When I arrived in Aswan I was greeted by my guide and taken to a 5* Nile cruise for the night (I honestly didn’t know it was going to be a Nile cruise and my cabin was facing the water so it was a lovely surprise!) The next day we were to start at 3 am. My guide met me at reception, breakfast box in hand and we made the long drive to Abu Simbel. We stopped halfway so I could take pictures of the sunrise over the desert. When we arrived at Abu Simbel we walked to the temple and had the opportunity to take lots of pictures before going inside. I should mention that with some attractions your guide cannot come in with you so you get to go in alone and you can spend as much time as you like staring at all the carvings and statues. When I was ready to leave, we drove back to the Nile cruise and picked up a lunch box ready for the drive back to my hotel door.

So overall I would say that it was fantastic value for money, I can’t believe how much they managed to fit into 3 days and how much I saw and learned. The guides were extremely knowledgable and would give you a complete history of every attraction you visited.
As far as safety goes, being a solo female traveler in a country our government has warned us against, I couldn’t have felt safer! We never went anywhere that would’ve been deemed dangerous and the locals genuinely leave you alone, unless they want to sell you something. Even then, when you say no the majority of them accept it. Should the odd seller be persistent then your guide politely tells them to go away.

So if you’re planning a trip to Egypt to sightsee: 1. Don’t be put off by the government warnings. Tourist attractions are no more dangerous there than anywhere else in the world right now. 2. Use Tours from Hurghada! The planning and execution of the tour were seamless from beginning to end and at no point did I worry about the safety of myself or my belongings (you can keep your bag locked in the car as the driver stays with it the whole time).

If I had to make one note it would be for them to try to include more domestic flights as a mode of travel. The cars were comfortable and air-conditioned, but some of the journeys (particularly Aswan to Marsa Alam) are very long.

    Thank you Tours from Hurghada!
