Tutankhamun is considered to be one of the youngest kings who ever ruled ancient Egypt and possibly the world as he was only 9 years old when he stood on the throne of Egypt after the death of his father Akhenaten (1351-1334 BC). Like his father, he belonged to the 18th dynasty of the New Kingdom ( 1550-1070 BC).

The name Tutankhamen means the living image of god Amun, he ruled Egypt from 1332 BC to 1323 BC during a transitory period due to his father's action of attempting to create a religious transformation by trying to unite the multi gods in one universal god known as Aton god of sun and make Atenism the official religion of the land but he miserably failed, and moved his capital from Thebes to his new city The Horizon of Aten,(Amarna).

Tut's relatively short period was basically trying to fix what his dad broke by returning the capital to the city of Thebes and the return of the old gods once more. His wife was Ankhesenpaaten which means "her life is from Aton", she was his half-sister from Akhenaten and Nefertiti, Tutankhamun was the son of Akhenaten and Lady Kiya (one of Akhenaten wife).
