One of the biggest reefs on the red sea is Shaab Sataya which is a live magical reef that has a length of 45km that takes a two-hour boat ride from Hamata. A snorkeling trip to Dolphin House gives you the chance to get close to these fascinating animals as this reef contains huge groups of spinner dolphins, and you will be stunned by the colors of the reef and the hidden life in between the corals. You will witness the hard and soft coral fields inhabited by a variety of fishes such as the Napoleon wrasse, number of dolphins & turtles that approach the groups of snorkelers and divers regularly.

Our overnight trip to Sataya Dolphin House is a chance from the heavens starting from the marina in Hamate. The small village is located about 100 km south of the city resort of Marsa Alam. From its harbor, there are daily boats and safari trips that head towards the stunning reefs of the Southern Red Sea. In the morning, you will be picked you up from your hotel and drive to Hamata in the air-conditioned minibus all within around two hours – depending on the location of your hotel. When you arrive onboard, you will get a short introduction then enjoy soft drinks in the saloon. You will choose your rooms and relax on our vessel, while we are already on our way to Sataya. You will then be shown a quick briefing prepared by your first guided snorkeling. You will have time to explore the coral reef from the surface and swim inside the lagoon, protected by the reef from currents. Second guided snorkeling will follow during the afternoon. Later on, you will cast your eyes on the sunset while dining on the delicious food prepared by our chef on the boat. You won't miss the most impressive view from the high deck – watching the starry lunar sky. Light Egyptian music and our handmade Bedouin coffee called Gabbana will complete this magical atmosphere.
Early in the morning of the second day, we will discover the reef first hand and behold the marine life of dolphins and rays during that time. When you have your breakfast, the boat will be transferred to Abu Galawa for your last stop during the trip. The sandy bottom between the reef blocks makes it very mesmerizing, truly picturesque. Swimming through the passages is relaxed and easy as it becomes narrower and shallower until the reef is only 3 meters below. You will have lunch and a small break then return back to the harbor. The minibus will take you back to your hotel in time to take the dinner.
