    Amazing guided tour of Luxor
Abdelrhman Ahmed gave me wonderful visits of all the main spots to visit in Luxor, even though I only had limited time to visit everything. The transfers by private chauffeurs were perfect. I really recommend this tour to anyone visiting Luxor.

The Karnak Temples with the Greatest Egyptologist !
We had the pleasure to have Mr. Mohamed Hassan as our Egyptologist for our day tour while in Luxor. We spent the day visiting The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of the Queen, as well as the Temple of the Gods in the village of Karnak. Mr. Hassan, it’s not just any tour guide, he happens to be a Ph.D. candidate, who has spent the last 17 years of his career working on various archeological sites throughout Egypt……His lasted research is actually taking place at the Karnak temples. Ask him about it when you met him…
His vast knowledge of Egyptian history made this experience beyond just a tour…. this was a history lesson…….and Mr. Mohamed Hassan is not just a tour guide!! He is a professor!
Don’t miss the opportunity to spend at a time with him! What an amazing day! He is polite, knowledgeable and passionate about his work!

    Excellent tour of Luxor.
We have been to Egypt over 30 times. This is the first time however we have been on an excursion of this type. We spent a day with a private tour guide Ayman who took us through the many wonderful sites in Luxor. This included a visit to The Valley of the Kings, a river boat trip and many other historical places. We highly recommend this trip and private guide. Lots of information and friendly chat all day. Wear comfortable shoes and water required!!!

    GREAT Luxor Tour
We stayed in Hurghada for 11 nights at the end of March and wanted to see the tombs and Ancient Egyptian monuments in Luxor. A little more expensive than others but I was swayed by the reviews here so booked with ‘Tours from Hurghada’.

Speedy response from Ahmad, the tour manager. We negotiated and then booked a private 1-day tour.

We were picked up promptly at 5.30am. This was the only downside – and why I didn’t score ‘excellent’ – the car was very cramped. Yes, I and the Mrs were the only passengers but the driver insisted on having his car seat quite a way back. Very uncomfortable for a 4-hour journey. The driver didn’t speak English and drove very fast for much of the journey, I wasn’t impressed by this, especially when he used his mobile phone while doing so! Anyway, a small point, we knew the journey was long one, nothing we could do about that . . .

We arrived about 9.30 and met our guide for the day – in fact, he was a very intelligent, passionate and clearly well educated Egyptologist, Mohammed Hassan; more than a tour guide I would say. If I were to book this trip again, I would ask for Mohammed. He was excellent. After 6 years of university study in Cairo and 16 years doing this job, he certainly knew his stuff. His English was excellent too.

We visited Karnak Temples first, this was my favorite site. Mohammed warned us about the other guides and the ‘sellers’ that would try and persuade and coax us away for a tip! After this, we took a short 20-minute boat trip up the Nile and stopped for lunch. Really nice Egyptian food (we had to pay for drinks!) in a restaurant that overlooked the Nile – gorgeous. Then we went to Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of the Kings, 3 tombs limit, (NO photos allowed here which was disappointing!) and then Colossi of Memnon.

We also visited a workshop that hand made souvenirs and of course many things to buy, There was a team of workmen that staged a little demonstration for us – this was mildly interesting. We felt slightly pressured into buying something but after some hard negotiation, we bought a nice piece as an engagement present for my son and his fiancee. A very beautiful, hand engraved plaque depicting the goddess of love, Hathor.

We visit all the places in the itinerary, a little rushed in places perhaps but the history and insight came from Mohammed which was fascinating.

We then took the trip home, leaving at about 4 pm. We arrived back at our hotel at 7.45pm

Our day was fairly hot (but I know it can get even hotter) so PLEASE do take water and a hat maybe. Some of the ground is a little rocky so sensible shoes are advised. In the Valley of the Kings, there are a lot of steps in places so again, the right footwear is good. It’s a long day, and in the heat, you’ll be very tired by the end of the day. Also, take a few EGP’s for tipping . . . and anti-insect spray!

    Day Trip to Luxor
My partner and I took the day trip to Luxor from Hurghada and visited The Valley of the Kings (three tombs), colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut’s temple and Karnak Temple. The tour also included a short boat trip on the Nile. Our private tour guide, a young lady (Hoda I think her name was) was very passionate about Egyptology and certainly knew her stuff! There were some interruptions from locals (mainly kids) wanting to take photos of us as we walked around, we felt famous! But it did get a bit tedious after a while. The Journey from our Hotel to Luxor was eventful, to say the least…Crazy drivers, Pedestrians, Tuk Tuks and goats all sharing the same road (has to be experienced!). It was a long day with the journey taking approx 4 hrs each way and a 5 am a start but worth doing for the experiences alone! and if you like Egyptology you won’t be disappointed. I would recommend that you leave doing the trip till later on in your holiday as we were still tired from traveling and probably didn’t make the most of it.

    Great Tour
Ahmad was flexible in meeting our timetable. Everyone involved was very punctual. The driver picked us up in a clean, spacious van and whisked us away to Luxor. The trip was very comfortable. Our guide in Luxor was Mohammed Hasan who was very knowledgable and brought out many interesting facets of ancient Egypt and present-day Egypt. He was very helpful in arranging our meals and any shopping we wanted. We highly recommend this agency.

    Best tour I've ever had
I went there with 3 other friends, all of us in our early 20’s. We had one week in Hurghada and on the second day decided we wanted to go to Luxor.
So we got in contact with these guys. Super professional from the beginning and even though it was a quick trip we always felt safe and taken care of.

Our guide and our driver were not only professional but also great people. It was definitely the best way to get to know Egypt.

    day trip to Luxor
We booked a day trip to Luxor before flying out to Egypt as we wanted something special on our honeymoon. We were picked up at 5 am from our hotel and driven to Luxor to meet out guide Omar. We started off with a visit to the valley of the kings where Omar told us the story of all the tombs we would be visiting, then we drove to the temple of Hatshepsut, then to the Colossi of Memnon, followed by lunch at a restaurant at the Nile. After lunch we had a boat ride up the Nile then met our driver at Luxor temple where we had a short drive to the temple of Karnak. Omar was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and was such a friendly guide. He took photos of us at key locations, and he made sure we had plenty of water before we set off on our drive back to Hurghada. On our drive back we were stopped because of a thunderstorm and flooded road so had to speak to boss and he told us we couldn’t get back to Hurghada that night but that he would arrange a bed and breakfast back in Luxor for the night so we had a long drive back to Luxor where we met again by Omar who accompanied us to the hotel to make sure we got checked in ok. Really can’t recommend this company enough and we will definitely be booking our trip to Cairo through them when we come back to Egypt.

Day trip to Luxor - highlight of our holiday
We tend not to visit the same place more than once, and so when we booked a holiday to Egypt during the may half term holiday we decided that we absolutely had to see the sights and sounds of Egypt rather than just staying in the resort, in case we never get opportunity to return! We were staying in Soma Bay, about 45 minutes south of Hurghada- I spent a lot of time researching reputable tour companies prior to our departure, and after discovering most were of a similar price I went with Tours from Hurghada due to their accommodating attitude with regards to transport (my husband and I both get travel sick in the back of cars, and once we explained this to them they offered us an air-conditioned minibus for the day for just the three of us as opposed to a car). No payment was required until the day of the tour. We were picked up from our hotel at 6am and driven directly to Luxor to meet our guide. Mohammed, our dedicated private guide for the day, was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. He was knowledgeable, clearly passionate about his work, and had the patience of a saint with our 8 year old (no matter how many times he declared he was dying in the heat!). We were lucky enough to experience the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon before going for some lunch at a lovely Egyptian restaurant overlooking the Nile. We then had a boat ride on the Nile, before heading over to the temple complex at Karnak. All of this, and the pick up / drop off, was included in the price. Throughout, Mohammed was informative, offering fantastic insight, always conscious of our inability to stand in the sun too long, and never ever rushing us- I can not recommend him highly enough. The sights are phenomenal – and the 3+ hours travel is absolutely worth it! Tips: – You can not take enough water with you- as soon as you take it outside the car it will be kettle temperature within 5 mins – Our lovely guide took us to lots of local shops throughout the day between sights to stock up on cold drinks at non-tourist prices. – If I did this again, in addition to big sun hat and hand sanitizer, I would definitely take a mini portable fan and some cooking spray. – Ladies, don’t bother putting any kind of make up on your face, you will look like a melted waxwork after an hour. – Be prepared for toilet facilities – some are better than others, some are certainly an experience, and they generally expect a tip/baksheesh whether they are of a decent standard or not- Mohammed helped us out with small change for this as we never seemed to lay our hands on anything smaller than a 10 Egyptian pound note during our stay. – Speaking of baksheesh, you will get “guides” trying to follow you around at each site, presumably hoping that if they talk at you enough you owe them for their insight – don’t let them ruin your experience, we generally just avoided entering into conversation and politely walked away and experienced no problems. – BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY – their level of customer service was exceptional throughout the booking process, and on the actual day. I will recommend them to anyone I know visiting Egypt in the future, and will mention them specifically in the hotel review I am about to write. Note re: safety. One of our big concerns when considering this trip was the safety aspect of driving through the desert for hours… I just want to say that at no point did we ever feel uncomfortable. We had to go through numerous checkpoints during our journey, but if anything this made us feel more secure. Please don’t let perceived safety issues hold you back from experiencing the wonders of ancient Egypt!

    Perfect day in Luxor
Very nice, We took a trip from Hurghada to Luxor during xmas 2014. Pickup at the Hotel in Hurghada with our driver in the early morning 05:00 AM for a trip to “Luxor”, “Valley of the kings”, “Temple of Queen Hatshepsut”, “Karnak temple”, We had lunch at a resturant overlooking the Nile river.
After a suggestion from our excellent English guide, we also took a little trip on the Nile for a small fee during the day.
Our Guide took care of everything in terms of entrance fees and was also a bit of a shield from the more annoying salespersons trying to sell you things. Very experienced guide and you could tell he had been doing this for many many years.
I Highly recommend Tours from Hurghada. Much better service and information than from a collected bus trip from a regular travel agency like “Thomas cook, Apollo or similar”.
    Enjoy your vacation in Hurghada

    Door to Door Service
I had found the company before we left for Egypt and enquired about their Cairo trip but didn’t book it at the time. When we arrived in Hurghada we realized how far the journey was and decided to do their Luxor trip instead and sent an email which was promptly replied to and arranged. Payment could either be made in the UK or Egyptian Pounds. I would recommend paying in UK Pounds as it works out a lot cheaper. The UK £ price was £95 each and we paid in Egyptian £ which was £2335 which at an exchange rate of around E£10/£1 worked out around £230 for the both of us. The car was at a reception at 5 am as we were told it would be and it was nice to have a private car for the 4 hours each way journey rather than be cramped in a tour operator coach. We felt totally safe traveling around although when we reached one of the main roads around 20 minutes from the hotel we had to wait for the ‘tourist’ convoy at a checkpoint manned by armed men as apparently there had been shots fired the previous day I believe. Even so don’t let this put you off as we had absolutely no trouble or witnessed any for the entire journey. When we arrived in Luxor we were met by the English Speaking guide who was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and really did a fantastic job. We went to the Valley of the Kings, the temple, boat ride up the Nile to Banana Island where we had a fantastic lunch of soup, chicken and tapas style bits. Really tasty and included in the price just had to pay for the drinks separately which weren’t very expensive. A boat rides back to Luxor and again met by the driver and we went to another Temple where you can work around huge columns and a lucky statue that gives you luck if you circle it 7 times! Great place for some photos. We then dropped off the guide and were driven back to our hotel for around 7.30pm. All entrance admissions are included in the price so we couldn’t fault the value. It’s a long day but well worth the journey!

    Excellent Service
We decided to add a Luxor trip to our scuba vacation. Mr. Sameer created a custom itinerary for us. After returning from a week-long liveaboard scuba trip, we were picked up from Port Ghalib and after a two day trip at Luxor, we were dropped off at Hurghada Airport. Every part of our trip was very well organized and everything was on time. Our driver Mohammed and our guide Omar helped us a lot during our trip. They were great guys. We had an excellent vacation and will use this service again in our next time in Egypt. If you are seeking for a customized vacation at Egypt you are looking at the right place.

    Luxor tour from Hughada
This was an excellent tour. My friend and I were picked up on Dec 1st at 5.00 am by Mahmoud in an air-conditioned luxurious car. We made our way to Luxor (3 and half hours). We were met there by our tour guide Mohamed who was excellent and very knowledgeable. We then visited Karnak temple, Valley of the Kings where we had entry to three tombs. After that, we went on to Hatshepsut temple.
Although I read a lot about these sights Mohamad told me things that I never knew and made everything so much more interesting. We then had a boat trip on the Nile before having our oriental lunch. Mahmoud was waiting for us afterward to take us back to Hurghada. All in all excellent and friendly service.

Day trip to Luxor from Hurghada
My wife, 7-year-old son and I arranged a day trip to Luxor from Hurghada prior to leaving from London. All the arrangements followed those we had agreed prior and our guide Ash was both knowledgeable and amenable especially having a highly active 7-year-old boy in the party. He was able to give us a good background on what we were seeing as well as advising on how to deal with hawkers and tip seeking attendants at the various attractions we were visiting.

We had an excellent private trip to Luxor, the trip was easy to book and Ahmad replies to all our queries. Our driver for the day was very friendly and our guide Waeel was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. Waeel explained everything to us and answered all our questions and paced the day to suit us. I would definitely recommend tours from Hurghada and would certainly use them again when we visit Hurghada.
