    Cairo Day Trip
Booked a 1-day flight from Hurghada to Cairo. Just a road bump to start, we had a morning departure, but the driver was late. The so-called number listed on email at 0425 in the morning and they were able to get a driver over to drop off us in time. Pick up from the airport is outside the terminal in the open air. From there it was a fun, interesting, and thorough trip as listed in the itinerary. The museum was interesting, and seeing Cairo via guided tour is definitely a must lol. The restaurant was closer to the pyramids but was a welcome stop. Pyramid tour did not disappoint and got some great pics with the Sphinx. The market was a very different cultural experience. We had kids aged 7 and 12 who were used to walking and traveling so they handled the trip great. They slept on the way back to the airport. Tour guide Hedar, was very knowledgeable, friendly, while driver Hany did all the driving through the hectic streets of Cairo. Overall a good and very productive day thanks to both of them. Sights are amazing as well as eye-opening. Bring walking shoes, energy, and a good sense of adventure. We are not disappointed in the results.

Taking us to the Egyptian Museum, Giza pyramids complex, and bazaar Khan El Khalili with a could stop at perfume and papyrus gallery. We had a fantastic time and despite only one day in Cairo feel we covered a lot. We would highly recommend to anyone.

    Great day trip
We choose to have a daily trip from Hurghada to Cairo by plane. We choose the first flight at 05:30 AM and that was an inspired decision. After we land the lovely guide named Emy (it’s a young and enthusiastic girl) we had the transfers included with Air-conditioned vehicles, we have been on the first and the main attraction, the Pyramids + Sphinx. Emy informed us about everything (history, myth, etc) and she took lots of nice pictures for us! If you want to ride a camel will be an extra fee but it’s definitely worth. Then we have been to a local and authentic Papyrus shop (the first paper in history) Where you can have your name inside an ancient picture at your choice. After that, we have visited and decided to buy some authentic and original perfumes with a very nice and large selection. For the lunch, we have been to a restaurant next to the Nile river where we had a good and tasty lunch. Our final part of the tour was Egyptian Museum after that we headed back to Cairo airport to catch our flight back to Hurghada. Will definitely recommend this daily trip by plane and our lovely guide Emy who made our day very comfortable and we were very happy with her attitude and knowledge!

    Air from Hurghada to Cairo
We’ve just come back from our tour to Cairo by air and although really exhausted, very happy about the whole experience. We were picked up (and awaken!) at 4 am by our driver who took us to the airport, nice guy, chatty and very pleasant. After arriving at Cairo we were welcomed by our guide Ishmael and the driver Ahmed. Ishmael made us feel very welcome and was very informative and knowledgeable, answering all our questions.

We’ve visited Giza pyramids (amazing place) then he took us to a place with a better view of the pyramids and offered a camel ride. He arranged us for a camel ride for 2 people for $40 which probably could have been cheaper, but it was nice an easy to get on to the camels, so happy to pay the overcharge.

We then went to the Sphinx with a very good explanation of the place, and then after that, to the papyrus ‘institute’ and perfume shop. We didn’t feel pressured to go to these last two places or to buy anything, but as there was no other plan before lunch we just went along.

Had lunch in front of the pyramids, beautiful view and food was good (drinks not included). After that, moving to the Egyptian Museum with a very vast collection which Ishmael made it more digestible for us.

Overall, excellent service, Ahmed driving skills were amazing and Ishmael knowledge of Egyptian history is very impressive. Also, the timing was perfect considering the amount of driving in crazy traffic in Cairo! Would recommend to anyone. Alvaro and Cristina.

    Cairo by air from Hurghada
We booked a day trip by air from Sahl Hasheesh. All pre-contact was with Ahmed and was very efficient. We paid £100 deposit upfront and had airline tickets confirmed along with pick up and itinerary within the hour.

We were collected from our hotel at 4 am for the 5.30 flight to Cairo where we were met by Mohammed our guide for the day and Badr, our driver.

We went straight to Giza to see the pyramids and the Sphinx. Mohamed’s knowledge is astounding and is delivered clearly and concisely. We were given really helpful information about the sellers around the pyramids, which allowed us to wander around the sights without feeling intimidated.

From there we went to a perfume house and papyrus house. At no point where we put under pressure to buy.

We had lunch at a local restaurant in Giza, which served us more food than we could eat and was included in the price. From there we traveled back to Cairo to the Egyptian Museum where we were ably guided by Mohammed.

Our driver Badr was a fabulous driver and the experience of the Egyptian road system was an event in itself. He was always waiting for us and we felt incredibly safe.

Overall, we’ve had a fabulous day. Would highly recommend Hurghada Tours and can’t thank Mohammed enough for both his hospitality and sharing his knowledge of the amazing history this country has to offer.

Great value for money and a great experience.

From the amazing to the extraordinary
We have been traveling together for around a year and have used some excursion companies to some of the sites we have visited. can I simply say these are the very best at what they do. Reham took us to Cairo, visiting the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphynx, and the museum. She has such passion, knowledge, and compassion for her subject. Reham and our driver Abd El Rahman are wonderful. They treated us like one of their best friends. You must, if visiting Egypt, look up this company and travel with them, It is incredible to go through one of the craziest cities we have ever been to ever and then find yourself at one of the 7 wonders of the world at the city edge. Make no mistake, Cairo is crazy and desperate at the same time, You will wonder how people live there but live where they do and the traffic is like you will never see and the way they drive, well, I couldn’t do it, it takes nerves of steel. Abd is an artist in a sea of frenzy. People are worried about traveling within Egypt but in traveling with our guides, we felt safe and looked after. The flight from Hurghada to Cairo and back was just like any UK domestic flight, I would say their security is easily as in-depth as ours. They help guide you through the process, flying is by miles the best way to get on this tour. Reham guides you perfectly throughout the day and makes sure you are comfortable at all times, including getting drinks from the shops. They so want to encourage tourism and they know that feeling safe is highly important. I had been to Egypt many years ago and felt just as happy this visit than last. This is a really good team of people who want you to enjoy these amazing sites and are so proud and passionate about their ancient history and are so happy that you want to share it with them. We give them 10 out of 10.

Great and easy trip to Cairo by Air
My adult daughter and I have just returned from an amazing trip to Cairo from Sahl Hasheesh near Hurghada. TFH arranged a bespoke trip around our specific requirements with all the details of our itinerary and cost agreed in advance from the UK by email with a £100 advance deposit via PayPal to secure flights.

We were picked up from the hotel by taxi at 4 am as agreed and took the scheduled 5:30 am Egyptair flight from Hurghada to Cairo. We were met at the airport by Hedar our Egyptologist/guide and “Mini” our driver who were both waitings just outside arrivals. We went straight to Giza and arrived at the Pyramids (entrance fee included) around 8 am. It was very quiet with few tourists and Hedar explained the history and context of what we were seeing. We walked around the main Pyramids but had the option of being driven. My daughter specifically wanted a camel ride and Hedar helped with this and we had an enjoyable ride for about 40-45 minutes on the plateau overlooking the Pyramids from about 1/2 a mile away. This gave a much better overview of the site and felt more authentic than those on offer immediately in front of the Pyramids (camel ride not included in the trip cost – haggle on cost locally before ride and be confident around any tips). We then drove down to the Sphinx and spent some time there with Hedar explaining how it fitted in with the rest of the site. After an early lunch on the Nile (drinks extra) we then went to the markets in the Islamic quarter. Hedar helpfully took to us into the old city and the local markets where my daughter was very pleased with her purchases. Be warned the main tourist markets in Cairo are very expensive comparatively so avoid if possible. We then returned to the airport to get the scheduled 5 pm flight back to Hurghada and we were back in our hotel before 7 pm.

Overall very well organized with all the pickups and flights running to time. No hassles at all, very helpful and knowledgable Egyptologist. I have visited Cairo by air previously as part of an organized group with one of the major tour companies and this was much better and I would have no problem recommending Tours from Hurghada and also Hedar our guide. Estimated cost circa £195 per person including taxi transfers to/from Sahl Hasheesh, scheduled flights, admission to Pyramids/Sphinx, Lunch overlooking the Nile, dedicated Driver & Egyptologist.

Great day, felt very safe & well organised
We got to our resort in Hurghada only to find Thompson/Tui did not do trips to Cairo – how could we go to Egypt and not see the pyramids!? Following some online searching and reading many online reviews I found Tours from Hurghada – arrangements were easy to then make via email & a deposit easily paid via PayPal.
I had read many reviews about other agents arranging large group tours but enforced shopping tours were always part of it with heavy pressure sales tactics. With TFH our tour was really ours, just us (a family of 3) which felt great.
Our pickup from the hotel was at 5:45 am, smooth transfer to the airport. (*As a side point Hurghada domestic airport is not as organized as a standard airport, they are very slow to process you).
After a 1hr flight which passed quickly, we met our guide Ibrahim at the door to the airport. He was very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. We had a driver to the minibus too, it was nice having all the space for just us three. Our tour took us to the pyramids, sphinx, lunch nearby, Cairo museum and the market Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Ibrahim explained a lot of the city, the people & guided us around each stop but also gave us time to ourselves. At the time he also advised us how to avoid the tourist traps/tricks seller use at some places.
We did go to a papyrus shop but it wasn’t a hard sell & I said we didn’t want to go for an oil/perfume shop so we didn’t. Ibrahim walked us around the market & we stopped for a tea before heading back to the airport and our flight home. The transfer back to the hotel was waiting for us and we got back fine.
The day felt very safe & well organized, would certainly use them again.

    one day Cairo trip
our guide Muhammed was excellent, he knew when to give us talks about the history and when to allow us to roam free.

our flight times were slightly inconvenient returning to hug. make sure you get the 6 pm flight. that’s more than enough time to look around.

highly recommended, and your lucky if you get Muhammad as he has a wealth of knowledge.

very smooth process from hotel collection to hotel return

    Day trip to Cairo
Had an amazing day and Ibrahim our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The views we got to take in of the pyramids, sphinx and surrounding areas were amazing and will last with us for a lifetime. A little more guidance at the beginning would have been good as we were a little lost after being dropped off at Hurghada airport but we got through eventually and it turned into an amazing day!
    Thoroughly recommended.

    Definitely worth the trip
    Definitely worth the trip
We booked through Tours From Hurghada because of the good reviews on trip advisor and we weren’t disappointed. They were great at replying with all of our questions before we booked and the day went exactly as planned.

Our tour guide Ahmed was fantastic. We couldn’t have been happier with him and we were most impressed with how great he was with the kids. We traveled with a 5-month-old baby and our friends have a 4 yr old. He was a great help in looking after them both.

We weren’t that fussed about the papyrus or perfume factories, but the museum, pyramids, and market were incredible.

Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

    Guaranteed great trip!
We prebooked our trip to the Pyramids of Giza before we even flew out to Egypt, all done through email with ease. Brilliant start.
We visited the Pyramids on the 26th May 2015 opting for the 1-hour flight to Cairo from Hurghada, purely because our 7 and 4 yr old children love flying and it was easier for us. We were emailed all the flight details with our ticket, printed them off and it’s that easy. Pick up from the hotel to the airport was prompt. We flew to Cairo and were met by our guide, Abraham. A charming man who had ease which relaxed us upon meeting, like he knew of our excitement and willed us to enjoy it. We head off, first stop was the Egyptian Museum. Driving through Down Town Cairo, effectively in rush hour, was an experience…..quite crazy in a good way. Our driver was brilliant and never showed any stress, just eased us throughout the trip. Arriving at the Museum and the excitement was building. Abraham proved to be a very knowledgable source, and passionate about it. He had us gripped like a blockbuster thriller when telling us of the history, ways, and theories of these amazing people. We could have spent the whole day in the Museum, it was amazing! Never did I think in my lifetime would I witness Tutankhamun’s treasures among many mindblowing artifacts.
Lunch was provided on a floating restaurant overlooking the River Nile. The kids were very keen to watch out for the Nile Crocodile! Then it was onwards to the Pyramids. As we traveled the ring road, a glimpse of two silhouettes brought my attention to how close these wonders were to Cairo City. However much you hear of how close they are, your first sighting just can’t prepare you.
Arriving at the site the excitement is boiling over! Before you know it, we’re walking in. Nothing can give me the words to describe this spectacle. Overwhelmed! Essentially, this is a grave site. A majestic Royal grave site. Eerie, amazing, majestic, awesome, gobsmacking wonder that stands before your eyes. Abraham looked after us all so well. Ushering us through the vendors trying hard to sell their wares and asking us what we would like from our experience. He helped barter prices for the kids to have pictures taken on a Camel by the pyramids, and also a horse rides up to the vantage point for the best pictures of all 3 Pyramids. The owner of Michael the horse gave us directions to pose for the best pictures which we will cherish forever. The heat was stifling there but the minibus was air-conditioned, which was a massive relief.
We then drove a short distance to the Sphinx and a place/building where several statues were rescued and are now housed in the museum. Abraham told us of the calculation used to determine how heavy the stones were used on the Pyramids. 26 tons is some weight! A short walk through the building to a small ramp then through a gate entrance doorway and there was the guardian of the Pyramids, The Great Sphinx. Equally as mindblowing as the Pyramids. There really aren’t words to describe it all, you just simply have to witness it.
We were then taken to a lovely place which manufactured essential oils, it was very informative and relaxing and their hospitality was beautiful…….ice cold drinks! There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever to buy anything, it was a pleasantly enlightening experience. Same for the Papyrus museum and a shop that sold everything the average Egyptian wears, clothes, brands and mainly……Egyptian Cotton, ending the tale of Egypt. It was quite emotional, leaving Abraham at the airport. He had been such a lovely guy, the kids had taken to him so easily… Harry our 4 yr old even had Abraham carrying him as it was so hot. Our trip was special, more so thanks to our fantastic guide. He truly did make this amazing trip much more enjoyable. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We will always remember you.
