Kom Ombo temple a.k.a "The Hill Of Gold" was constructed in the Greco-Roman period between 180 BC and 47 BC and has a distinctive double design divided into two identical sectors. One for the crocodile god Sobek patron of fertility and the other for the falcon sky god Horus the symbol of victory and the protector of the kings and queens.

At the end of the day, return back to your cruise where you will continue sailing until you reach Aswan.

You will be picked up from your cruise by an air-conditioned car to proceed to the gatekeeper of the southern border which was created by Ramses the great "1279-1213 BCE" and consists of the main bigger temple of Abu Simbel where the sun festival takes place on 22 of February & October of each year when the sun illuminates on the faces of the four seated statues of Ramsess II, Ptah "God of Creation", Amun "The Creator God", and Ra "Sun God", and the second smaller temple is dedicated to his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. The temple was the main subject of the hardest recorded rescue operation in history as it was relocated on the island of Agilkia by UNESCO in the mid-60s.
